- 1. sustainable packaging for luxury goods is already a global trend;
- 2. MingFeng Packaging will bring the perfect solution for sustainable packaging;
- 3. your guide to a more efficient visit.
Sustainability is a global trend.
Perceptions, facts and consumption habits are changing. Influenced by consumption habits and audience segments, the major luxury groups have made the sourcing of eco-friendly raw materials an important part of their corporate supply chain. What we can see is that the luxury groups are taking almost the same steps in this direction.
Sustainability and the circular economy are two key trends in this category. Consumers already prioritise the sustainable material component of their products when considering luxury consumption, with a 66% priority share.
Consumers focus on: resource consumption, environmental protection, animal welfare and equal treatment of employees, etc. Taking the example of a few major headline luxury goods, Prada took the lead in launching a campaign to de-fur 100% of its products and packaging in 2020; The Kering Group has set up an innovative materials room, giving priority to natural and non-toxic biodegradable materials, while LVMH has launched the NONA SOURCE programme to encourage the recycling of raw materials. The obvious point of interest is that responsible sourcing has become an important part of the sustainable supply chain system of luxury groups.The above insights are from the Greater China Luxury Market Insights Report 2024 by PwC.
